The possibilities here are limitless, but here are a few:
– Promote a full study of city finance and operations.
– Hire efficiency experts to find the waste, fraud, and abuse
– Demand that city real estate tax be lowered to the average rate of Henrico and Chesterfield
– Reduce wasteful and redundant city staff positions. Cut staff by 25%
– Should Richmond give up on governing itself and perhaps consider joining the far better managed,
business-like, Henrico, in a power sharing Regional government?
What are your ideas?

RVA has thousands of ordinances, many of which it ignores.
Yet the city keeps adding ordinances and many of these will be ignored just like the existing ones.
Remove the ordinances that aren’t enforced. The city shown they are obviously not needed.
cannot be fixed. eventually the city charter will need to be turned back to the state.
Richmond government desperately needs a turn around expert. How about an efficiency expert? A nice guy approach seems ok, but is badly mismatched by the severity of current problems. Are present leaders whistling past the graveyard?
I think I remember Stoney claiming to have VCU to review government operations in 2017. It seems nothing came from that, yet our actual tax bills have increased about 50% since then. This website suggests that citizens speaking up will make a difference, so I encourage everyone to agree that Richmond government is a mess, and we need honest efficiency experts to fix it. ASAP.
